Due to the success of Myriad’s first #TaiwanNowBoarding, Travel Massive hoped to increase brand awareness for Taiwan amongst trendsetting travel insiders and influencers in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Myriad promoted the event beforehand via word-of-mouth, paid social media and advertising in local newspapers, including the Vancouver Sun and Vancouver Metro. Myriad invited 270 guests to Robson Square in downtown Vancouver, where they were treated to a complete Taiwanese experience. Guests were provided a welcome Taiwanese snacks package, local support, itinerary recommendations and a one-day “tour” of Taiwan. Myriad partnered with various travel trade organizations, including tour operators, an airline partner, a Taiwanese tea station as well as Travel Massive. A full series is planned across the United States in the late summer or early fall of 2017.
The total traditional media value exceeded $6 million. The total reach across all social media was over 360,000 with more than 5,000 engagements. More than 200 photos were shared on social media, and YouTube videos were viewed over 14,000 times.
