On Saturday, MMGY Global was awarded two gold ADDYs at the 2014 American Advertising Awards in Kansas City. The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.
In the Digital Advertising Campaign category, MMGY took Gold with the recently launched #UpgradeChicago campaign for Lufthansa. The campaign promoted the full flat Business Class seats on Lufthansa’s Boeing 747-8 with upgraded experiences throughout Chicago. Complimentary coffee, free umbrellas, limo rides, and even upgraded seats at the Bears game were given away to lucky Chicagoans, courtesy of Lufthansa.
In the Direct Marketing category, MMGY also snagged a Gold ADDY with our Sammie The Springfield Sock Monkey direct mail campaign for the Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Sammie Springfield campaign featured a sock monkey as the “Spokesmonkey” for the city. Interestingly, the country’s largest producer of sock monkey toys is located just south of Springfield in Ozark, Missouri. The “Sammie Springfield” sock monkey was used to promote Springfield as an attractive destination for meetings and conventions.
