NJF – the PR, Social Media, and Experiential Marketing practice of top travel marketing firm MMGY Global – has an immediate opening for a PR Account Coordinator in our New York office. 


The Account Coordinator is an entry-level position. The Account Coordinator’s primary responsibility is providing support to teams on a number of accounts including development of press materials, development of media lists, implementation and execution of media relations, client relations, special events, client reporting and administrative duties required for servicing the accounts.

Duties, Responsibilites, Tasks Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Assist in development, planning and implementation of PR campaigns
  • Contribute to/initiate ideas for stories, programs and special events 
  • Write and/or edit press materials and social media posts
  • Handle media list creation and distribution of press releases 
  • Monitor/coordinate editorial calendar listings and lead generation services and pitch stories to appropriate media 
  • Track media coverage and monitor results
  • Respond to media inquiries and fulfill travel requests
  • Coordinate aspects of press trips, such as list development and invites 
  • Maintain current supply of client material (press kits, brochures, photo library, letterhead, etc.) 
  • Compile, write, edit and distribute client status, media and activity reports 
  • Assist with day-to-day client communication 
  • Participate in client conference calls
  • Begin building media relationships
  • Maintain media database of consumer and trade press
  • Develop understanding of client business: competition, industry news, etc.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of all client, vendor and company information
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Experience Requirements: 

  • Minimum one year of prior internship or job related experience in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or related fields 
  • Travel industry experience or knowledge a plus 
  • Bilingual Spanish/English written and oral skills a plus 

Educational Requirements:

Minimum of an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts) in communications, journalism or related field.

One or more Senior Account Executives, Account Supervisor and/or Account Director
