We have an immediate opening for a Media Coordinator in our Kansas City, MO office. 

This is a full time position responsible for supporting integrated media efforts for a portfolio of hotel and destination accounts. An inquiring mind, positive attitude and desire to learn are also key as the world of integrated media is constantly evolving and the MMGY Media Department prides itself on being at the forefront of media innovation & ingenuity.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating digital campaign implementation, applying tracking tags, trafficking digital ad materials and preparing monthly digital media reports (collecting and consolidating data) for client review
  • Collecting and verifying all digital assets for campaign execution and proofing digital assets from a technical aspect to ensure assets are developed to spec prior to turning over to web sites
  • Running campaign performance reports once campaign is live to:
    • Ensure creative is performing accurately from a technical side
    • Ensure campaign launches accurately in relation to timing, ad visibility, rotation schedule, etc.
  • Troubleshooting any INTERNAL technical issues during campaign execution with Traffic and Creative (creative not rotating, not created to spec, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting any EXTERNAL technical issues with 3rd party ad servers and/or websites
  • Supporting Media Planners and Media Buyers in tracking media placement details for various media channels including digital, social, print, TV, radio and out-of-home
  • Inputting data into media buying systems including pre and post-buy analysis
  • Researching new media opportunities
  • Fielding incoming proposals/phone calls for various vendors and helping develop strong relationships with vendors
  • Working with Media Buyer on campaign optimizations to ensure goals are met
  • Working with Traffic and A/S to ensure work is scheduled appropriately and timelines are set
  • Relating internally with Media, Account Service, Creative and Accounting team members
  • Maintaining media library
  • Assisting with media buys by confirming edit calendars, checking avails, creating deadlines grids and collecting material ad specifications
  • Generating print insertion orders
  • Starting to develop media knowledge base in preparation for media research responsibilities that includes: evaluating media research data; developing points of view; understanding systems applications; understanding various media and their applications against client strategies/goals
  • Other miscellaneous administrative duties as needed 

Additional Roles and Responsibilities:          

  • Providing back-up support for the reception desk for breaks and lunches on a rotating schedule
  • Coordinating vendor meetings on behalf of Media

 Experience Requirements:

  • Prefer minimum one year agency experience in media buying and/or campaign management
  • Digital media buying experience a plus
  • Knowledge of DoubleClick, Ads Manager, Strata and Workamajig a plus

 Skills Needed:

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working on multiple tasks and projects at once
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Resourcefulness; strong ability to look for answers and solutions
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing or communications preferred
