We have an immediate opening for an Account Executive in our Kansas City, MO office.  

This is a mid-level account management position involving a high degree of client interaction and project management skills 

The Account Executive will spend the majority of his/her time doing the following: 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily client interaction – phone, email, etc.
  • Coordinating and managing efforts with all internal agency departments (media, creative, production, interactive, social, eCRM, scheduling and accounting)
  • Presenting client deliverables including marketing plans, scopes of work, creative and more
  • Creating and maintaining project timelines
  • Maintaining client status reports and conference reports
  • Facilitating all client media plans, ad production and ad fulfillment
  • Collaborating with Project Management Office to manage and coordinate interactive web and digital projects through all phases of creative design, development and launch
  • Completing all regular tasks/paperwork associated with managing the account, opening jobs, develop estimates, developing estimates, developing creative briefs, as well as overseeing monthly billing
  • Following agency traffic and billing procedures
  • Participating in projecting agency revenue on behalf of client portfolio and reconciling on a monthly basis
  • Leading team meetings, client conference calls and regular internal and external status calls
  • Strategically directing accounts, which includes leading marketing planning and messaging meetings
  • Occasional travel required 

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of advertising agency experience in account service or project management at the Coordinator level or higher, with at least one year as an Account Executive or Project Manager
  • Team-oriented approach
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines
  • Proofreading, attention to detail and organizational skills are extremely important
  • Experience in marketing strategy, principals and processes
  • Knowledge of basic creative and production concepts/terms
  • Knowledge of interactive strategy and management (web, social, mobile); advanced knowledge of digital programs or content management systems
  • Knowledge of media (traditional and digital)
  • Knowledge of hospitality or travel industry helpful but not required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software 

Education Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree
